Here's an article in the Guardian comparing various types. In the old country they go for about 1.45 pounds for a pack of 4. So about 55c each.

In my local bakery here in Toronto they are $2 each or special deal 6 for $10!
WTF!
That must be 1000% mark up on what it costs to make them.

W get ours from our local Cobbs. They're not bad if you toast and then add some butter on them.

Hadn't really given these any thought this year, but now once the Mrs. gets home I think we'll be popping out to get some. (As Oink said, toasted, nice bit of butter and a cup of tea).

Just bought some from stupidstore, I went for the extra raisin ones hoping they haven't got bright green and red cherry type bits in them
