Does anyone know if I can "rent" a car in Halifax then leave it at New Glasgow/Stellarton?

Thanks again

We rented a car when we moved over in August to cover us in the time it took to buy a vehicle. We rented through Enterprise (at the airport) and were able to drop it off in Antigonish when we had finished with it. They have an office in New Glasgow, so I'm sure they would be able to do the same there.

Hope this helps. We found them very helpfull and the cheapest.

And no one has replied to the question on costs but I guess you could get a good idea if you go to one of the Big Boys websites like Hertz, Alamo, Avis, etc

Okay just done a search on airportrentalcars.com and its come up with US$358 for 2 weeks, a Chevy Compact Cavalier Car All Inclusive from Halifax Airport with one of the Big 5 rental co's. Didn't say whether that was incl local taxes though. Also what they call a Gold Rate deal for the same car but US$475, incl all taxes and one other driver.
when you rent a car here in Alberta you are charged a 15% premium for collecting the car from the airport, not sure if that's a canada wide thing?

We got charged again at Calgary Airport by Budget thru Atlas. Atlas web site said it was £500 and then Budget asked us for another £700 when we took the car back !!!!! :scared:

Not too sure what happened with this as hubby dealt with it.
