Hi Guys
Hi BE
My name is Sara, and my husband Mark has been offered a job outside Halifax NS. We are hoping to get over there in the next six months, along with our two kids - Jake who is 4 and a half, Josh who is 3 in July, and our six! Yes thats Six alaskan malamutes.
Anyway, I have been skulking around this forum for a few weeks now, and thought it time I introduced myself! Especially as I have just posted a question about paperwork in the immigration section!
Look forward to chatting to you all!

Re: Hi Guys
Well! Something I have been informed, is that apparantly you can get one dog per person over as excess baggage! It doesn't cost anywhere near as much as transporting them over as freight! I have been told this by someone over in Canada (my breeders contacts) so where I have been quoted something like £4000 to get the lot of them over, it could cost us as little as £1000 for 4 of them, and then a freight charge for the remaining 2!
Anyway we are in the hell of trying to sell houses at the minute. So it all seems a little far off at the minute, though ideally we would like to get out there before our eldest starts school in September.
