Default Hey there

Hey There

I am new to the forum - my boyfriend and I are in the queue for the skilled worker programme, 1 year down!!

Looking to go to Vancouver Area, he will work as a Carpenter and me a groom (horses)

We are in the process of selling our flat here which we are struggling to keep anyway and putting the capital away to start our new life hopefully in Canada but if not anywhere away from here!!!

Roll on Canada!!!

On the skilled worker program, you probably have another four years to wait.

Since your OH is a carpenter, he would be eligible for the Expedited Labour Market Opinion Pilot Project in British Columbia. On that program, you probably could be in Canada within months rather than years.

Oops, I see that Coffeepot has already told you that you can get in more quickly, but I think the above links are useful anyway.
