Well, the sponsoree wouldn't be heart broken to be thrown out of the country and, in a way, that'd be a relief to me. The problem with foreign wives, ceremonial or common law, is that they always have it over you forced them to live in Canada. It might be easier just to go to wherever they came from (Switzerland and the US in the case of my detainees). Still, we'll give this process another decade or so, see if anything happens in that timeframe.
