The Atlantic forecast is interesting. Lots of snow! We were without power for about 12 hours at the weekend and I have to say the power outages seem to be becoming quite a regular occurance. I noticed most of our neighbours had generators running yesterday and I am seriously thinking about getting on installed. Anyone have experience of buying generators? What should you look for? |
Re: Here comes the storm!!
Hi Paul,
We were without power in Hubbards from about 2am till 5pm yesterday, as we are renting a place with a well we had no water either. Neighbours were really helpful, and also mentioned that this is the first time since Juan came through that they had been withour power for any real length of time. They said that occasionally the power might go out for a couple of hours but that they couldnt justify the purchase of a generator which with installation can easily run to $3000. Having said that, whilst I was in Canadian Tire in Quinpool yesterday to get an axe for firewood, there were a few people asking about generators! Thanks for the pm about pensions btw. |

Just got back to Antrim, the storm delayed us by 24 hrs, but the worst part was being delayed at Heathrow today by BMI for best part of 2 hours, easily the most annoying part of the trip. Will post regarding the recce when we have recovered, but it went well'ish.
