Foothills Hospital is actually in the south of the NW next to the University ... it's in MLS district 413 St Andrews Hills if that helps you any. Foothills MD is to the south of Calgary ... doesn't make a lot of sense, does it? |

Public, seperate (ie.catholic) or private schools? Good transport? Buses are pretty useless, the c-train is good, roads are a world away from UK driving. Amenities .... you mean like ice?? |

The thing to remember is that Calgary is big ... it has the biggest per person footprint of any Canadian city. I think I worked out it had triple the population of Leicester and took up ten times the space.

Look here: http://www.cbe.ab.ca - we picked our house based on the school. Schools here expect to be "interviewed" - make an appointment with the principals of the areas you're looking at and arrange a tour. Banff Trail station is closest ... it'll be a fair walk at -35C, not counting windchill. I used public transport for over year and those c-train stations are frikkin cold in Jan/Feb. Calgary has a load of parks - supermarkets everywhere - not been to any NW bars, so I can't recommend any. Will We be able to look at schools when we are out in Oct? |
