Hi all,
I feel a bit like a kid back at school. So much to learn, it's good to see others with the same ambition of escaping little ole England
and getting to grips with the minefield of paperwork & research.
Well, I've been to Canada several times and truly fell in love with Vancouver Island, the way of life, friendly people, stunning scenery and wildlife.

Hi Island Hop,
Welcome to BE. You've probably found it already but just in case, have a good old mooch around the WIKI, it'll really help.

Hi, and welcome.
Though I live in Alberta, "the island" is a favorite place of mine to visit. Victoria has the feel and look of a small English city, and, once you are outside the city you are in the spectular Canadian countryside. The best of both worlds.

Hi...
I'm new too and looking to leave uk... as much as I feel loyal to little ole England, I want a better future for my kids. We are hoping to move to BC, Canada... who knows we might just make it to Vancouver island too.
Nice to hook up with you. I live in drab old Walsall in the midlands.

Welcome!!
We also live on Vancouver Island. We had lived in Alberta for 18 years after moving here from England but it never felt like home. We absolutely love Vancouver Island and can not believe the change in our lives since moving here. We love it!!!!! It is the best thing we have ever done.
Good Luck with your plans

I can not believe how friendly the people are there. Sat in a restaurant get chatting to some of the locals... they declare we're having a party tomorrow night, please come and we have a spare bedroom.
Maxine if you manage to do a rekey of the Island one day. There is fantastic pub called The Crow & Gate in Yellow Point, it's really worth going in there for a pint if your in the area
Believe me, if you are worried about making friends and not knowing anyone, it won't take long to establish a social life (even if you don't like golf
)
