Yeah near enough, he was a manager here in the uk and got in with a fab company so there is room to step up, but hes an industrial electrician, so quiet a few jobs out there if you look

Hello and welcome!
Doesn't sound that far away to me - as SW applications are taking 5 years or more to be processed anyway, a lot of the newbies on here are looking at a similar timescale! So you'll be in good company while you go through all the ups and downs of it all.

I'm sure the next 5-6 years will fly by
We have decided to apply for permanent resident visa next year but are doing as much research before hand as we can......some of the stories on here certainly make you think don't they...
Above all it's such a relief to know that there are so many others who have been there and done it and survived to tell the tale
