Hello.......

Myself and my hubby are longing to move to Canada
We hope to be there by 2014 - I know it sounds a long time away but it gives us plenty of time to forward plan!! (and we'll have the finances to go by then)
Looking forward to getting to know everyone......

Hi and welcome.
I noticed in another post you are planning to go to NS. Sounds a long way off though.
Good luck with your plans.

Hi and welcome to the forum
We had a 10yr plan when we moved in this house, all of them had to be sorted in months as we decided not to stand in line and get a job out there.
6yrs after buying the house we are off, what happened to our 10yr plan
OH yeah he talked me into visiting canada and i have never looked back since, canada hopefully is 2008

Good luck

started out in ontario, but employers wasn't right helpful, took a trip to alberta and come out with job offers.
Accepted one and now keeping fingers crossed that we can pull everything togeather, slightly going mad, but keeping the bigger picture of why we are doing this
Have you been to canada?

It's lovely to hear that other people are in the same boat as us!

Hope you enjoy the expo.
This site is brilliant isn't it....
Best of luck with your plans - it sounds like we'll need it

Alberta looks amazing- I hope everything works out for you and gets sorted out quickly.
Me and hubby had always fancied emigrating to Canada and we went on holiday to Toronto 2 years ago. Travelled around Ontario and couldn't believe the differences in attitude that you experience over there. We loved it.

We originally fancied moving to Ontario but after researching house prices and stuff we have decided to go for Nova Scotia. They have the Provincial Nominee Programme so it's an extra route to try!
Have you managed to secure a job in the same profession you have here in the UK?

Hello and welcome!
Doesn't sound that far away to me - as SW applications are taking 5 years or more to be processed anyway, a lot of the newbies on here are looking at a similar timescale! So you'll be in good company while you go through all the ups and downs of it all.
Best of luck with it.
