Hello Everyone
My husband & I commenced our aplication for PR back in April 2005 and received our request for medical examination on Friday this week.
I am SOOOOOOO excited, delighted to find this site and somewhat apprehensive about the challenges that lay ahead.
That said, I am feeling positive that the light is finally shining at the end of the tunnel, our house is on the market, I have informed my employers that I will be leaving within the next 12 months and all I need to do now is wait some more and get down to the gym before my medical!! :
Here's looking forward to sharing experiences and information with you all.

Hi,
You are so lucky to be getting closer, good luck with the medicals.
Where are you planning to go to?

Hi Destination Novascotia
We stated on our application that we would arrive in Toronto, that being the seemingly easiest place to fly to and base from which to explore.
We have no firm plans, no expectations just very open minds to exploring a vast country with lots to offer.
Ideally, we will end up somewhere which is environmentally beautiful with some means of earning a crust and a community in the real sense of the word.
Over the last couple of years, friends and family have raved about lots of different parts of Canada, I have yet to hear a bad review though I have promised and would love to visit the birth place of my nana - Calgary. At 80 years old, it is unlikely that she will make a return visit and I know some stories and photographs would be much appreciated by her.
Guess I am open to suggestions for a HR Manager with a much loved Clinical Scientist in tow!

As if you don't have a clue what your looking for then you research could become idealistic then you'll run the risk of reality no living upto that.
Sit back and plan the ideal lifestyle working, house, family hobbies, etc then look for that. ( not necessarily in that order thou )
