Welcome to the site. I came to Canada in 1994 on a work visa with BUNAC. Stayed for just over a year and had a great time. Now I am working on the East coast for a couple of years and hope to immigrate later on.
I thought that BUNAC were very helpful and a really good way to get a visa. Make sure you apply for extensions to your visa early (if you plan to extend) they are available but for a limited length of time. Also there are some restrictions on the type of work you are able to do. Finally don't tell everyone that you are on a BUNAC visa when you are searching for work. They don't need to know (though I would be totally honest about the amount of time you intend to stay). If you say you are on a BUNAC or "student" visa it doesn't give an impression of permanence, which could influence your job success.
Good luck! There is loads of work out there and I am sure you will find something good.
NB Sue.
