Sounds like the beginning of a plan then. Any thoughts on a suitable venue?
Last time we were in Halifax we went to a pub called something like 'My fathers moustache' which sold about 100 or more different types of beer. I've also had a drunken evening in an Irish pub downtown but cant really remember where it is. All suggestions from locals gratefully received!

Given that Easter is the weekend after next and that recent posts have brought Haligonians/Nova Scotians out of the woodwork I thought I would bump this thread up.
Anyone fancy meeting for a pint over the Easter weekend? (But probably not on a Sunday as everywhere will be closed eh Beaver?!

(Obviously, I'll also be busy on the Sunday, fasting until the shops reopen...)

We are also likely to be at home over the Easter weekend, so would try to come along to a get-together. During the day and child-friendly would also be best for us.

OK,
Perhaps one of the 'locals' could suggest a place to meet up. Mrs AX and I are completely flexible. The friends we stay with have a baby so if they come too, family friendly is good. As for day, howabout Saturday? (Cos as we know Halifax shuts down on a Sunday,,,,,,!)

i could try and arrange a video-conference if you feel you conversation may lag, after praising the virtues of the super-city
personally i would give the triangle a miss, as it's overpiced pseudo-irish tat
& the bands are crap - yet again only my opinion
how about boondocks-fisherman wharf -dartmouth side towards the airbase
you can watch the sewage accumulate from the deck, as you feast your eyes over the oh-so generic menu
