Congratulations on the job offer, should smooth the way nicely for you........................bring plenty of warm winter stuff, as landing in January/February could be a little shock to the system !

Congratulations,

The only thing i can think that I did was inform the inland revenue.

You might want to ensure that you keep up NI payments for pension rights too, depending on how much you have contributed already and what your future plans are.

You might want to look at your options for transfering UK pension plan assets over to canada too.

Some people maintain that opening an HSBC (premier?) bank account and transfering it over here helps with getting canadian credit history up and running.

Well done! Bring over your credit history/standing report and prepare your bank to write a letter of reference for when you want to buy a home. Also bring proof of your car insurance history.
