Christmasoompa - I've looked at the other routes and they appear to be aimed at students. The risk involved in simply going to Canada and hoping to find an employer who will get us an LMO seems too high from what I am reading... The only other options I can see which are "safe" is to save up $300,000 and enter as an investor.

Are there many IT jobs in NS? My girlfriend was asking about CIS the other night after she read the wiki on here but I was having a look around yesterday and everything seemed a bit thin on the ground aside from a couple of jobs in Halifax.
I have a 1yr TWP and was planning to go at the start of next year but from what I can see online the look of the IT market in Canada really puts me off.
