If you still wanted to go for the job in BC, have a look at BC PNP - it might be the answer and once nominated you can be issued with a work permit whilst your PR application is being processed.

Ohhh...completely understand your frustration OP. We applied through Sask PNP family stream middle of last year. Application turned down as I hadn't sent proof of post-education training despite having a job offer as a truck driver and was not allowed to add additional documentation to the file, it had to be a new application! I was 'encouraged' to apply again which I did immediately! Impossible to get hold of anyone at SINP to clarify anything and we are still waiting for nomination! Hopefully, no news is good news! Even more frustrating when checking out sites like Trackitt.com and see people from, shall we say, less developed countries than the UK, getting accepted pretty quickly! I appreciate they are very busy but thought ours would be a very straight forward case, i.e, 2.4 children, job offer, clean records, family already there!

its not even anything to do with less developed countries. i know of people from the uk who just attempt to cheat the application system and seem to have gotten away with it. i can bet my bottom dollar these people will milk the system in canada too. sooo frustrating i just want to work hard n buidl a new life.
annnnyway no point using up my energy moaning.....off to try n do something productive

Still, as you say, the OP can't phone them anyway - probably just as well!

Oh, they can answer questions. Just that it usually seems to be some 18 year old on work experience reading off a script, who'll just have a guess at the answer if it's not written down on there. Some of the stuff they come out with is hilarious!

hmmm looks like there's somethings of a similar nature between canada and blighty then hey. all boils down to finance and costs i suppose. although in england now the firms are offering courses to the call centre staff so they can learn to speak with accents as if theyre from liverpool or scotland.
its funny to hear but the money would be better spent keepng them better informed about the product theyre answering questions on.
annnyway i digress i suppose i could get my friends in canada to call the number but to be fair i think it will be a fruitless quest ill just keep sending emails requesting the return of my docs asap

My wife likened the immigration process to childbirth. It's hell while you're going through it, but worth it in the end!
