Well, that's smart-ass Canadiain - there isn't any law in Canada that states

What is this as a percentage of the household income?
2 adults and 4 kids = $300 per week on average. Food is extortionate here and outside the major urban centres the choice is dreadful (unless you like processed and irradiated garbage that is...) Food is about 35% of my income, but I do buy good meat cuts and we eat a very European diet, loads of fruit and veggies, good pasta and chicken based foods and no hot dogs!!. Mortgage is about the same percentage of my income - which is really telling.
