The rest is the waiting game with roller coaster rides.
Your attitude is excellent, Canada is fortunate to have you and your

[QUOTE=leeiom]I am sorry Grah, and maybe its my ignorance, but i don't see what that story has to do with the answer i gave you, prehaps you could elaborate a little?

The story is suppose to point out that sometimes it doesn't always require years of sacrifice at work to get what we are really looking for in life.
It's not meant to be negative its meant as a thought provoking exercise. Many people have come to Canada and not liked what they have found, alot due lack of "Their" work and but mostly due to lack of what they where looking for.
Work pays the bills, your original post was wanting to have a job anywhere in Canada. Well that works for some, they can live anywhere but others need other things for a happy life. When people come on to this site and ask for jobs anywhere in Canada, I prefer to ask what are they really looking for.
you want New adventures but where?
rural life - modern town - big city, near Sea, Mountains or Prairie.
If someone you've never met was to ask you where could they find a job in "Their Speciality" in Europe for a new adventure what would you tell them or ask them?
Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg etc all will probably give you a good life.
But as friends of ours found out Outdoor life on the prairie was great but once going to the parks and mountains in Alberta there was no going back. Difference? The Hills - Mountains made the views change quicker and more dramatically. So their quality of life and happiness was changed purely by the geography. Job wise he transfered internally and therefore didn't change that greatly. Every week end they travel out to different places and see different things.
So if you think of what your family really likes to do day to day then look for that. It makes the settle in period a lot better. Once you get here things might change and you may get into different things but that initial comfort and familiarity is really good. Once you find a place that you think you would like to live in, then see if there is a company that could offer a job that will pay for it. To me it's Life style - then Job not the other way around.
PS
Is the isle of Man really that bad regarding with walking down the street and drinking in Bars?
Hope you have fun looking at life

And you can still call it a CV over this end of the country.
A lot of companies aren't interested in paper CVs so you may even end up sending it in electronic plain text format.
