The only thing more frustrating than seeing "in process" for months on end must be to see "decision made", and then not to know what that decision iS!!!!

Eclient finally changed to Decision Made on the CIC website on Wednesday and me being me and being very negative about it half expected it to change back to In Process at any minute! Had a phone call Wednesday afternoon from immigration requesting me to return a call as it was a matter of urgency. Called them and all they wanted to know was the kids heights and eye colour! Had another call from Halifax office today telling me I will be called next week to come in and pick up my landed immigrant status, put in application for PR cards and then I can make my pre planned trip to the Uk on the 23rd of the month. Once in the Uk I have to go to the Canadian Embassy in London to pick up a temporary PR card so we can return to Canada without any problems at Christmas. A bit of a hoo-haa to get back but it will be worth it in the end.
From start to finish our applications have been very fast. They went in Feb 9 2004, AIPS July 14, MP involved October, finally okayed for a PR November 10.

I've just got the ball rolling
Apparently in the UK, it can take up to 18 months to get approved.
