Ferry from UK to Canada?
Hi does anyone know if there is a direct ferry that goes from uk to Canada? I’ve tried looking on google but not finding much. Just thinking of taking our car as we could take a lot more luggage than a flight and save money and not having to buy a new car. Any help much appreciate 😊

I didn’t think of like that 🤣 is there anyway to take your car with you not just on a container? Thanks

The Queen Mary still does the trans-Atlantic crossing from, I think, Southampton to New York, but only seasonally. Prices are much higher than a flight.
Cargo ships will sometimes take paying passengers - specialist travel agents can help you find the companies that do - but this is an inconvenient option as schedule depends on what the ship company needs to do, it's a long trip, and the comfort option is certainly not flash. It's also not a cheap option. I think you will really struggle to find one going from the UK to Canada, and then, it likely won't go where you want to go. They will drop you in something like Halifax or St John's and then you are on your own.
Quite frankly I think you are much better off flying, selling the car in the UK and buying again in Canada.

You also have to consider whether your car will pass the provincial safety certificate and how much it will cost you to get it certified. I agree with Carcajou. Sell the car and buy something when you get where you're going.

It's a pain the arse having a right hand drive car in Canada. For a short time I was driving a RHD Subaru Forester imported from Japan, never again. Too dodgy making left turns, can't go to drive throughs on your own, and overtaking without a passenger is scary. Would not recommend it.

Just my two cent's worth: reversing into the Tim's drive-thru in rush-hour might be a little tricky.
