Default European Van Lines

Hi,

has anyone had any recent experiences of European Van Lines? They are by far the cheapest we have had in to quote but I am not filled with confidence, especially by the estimator they sent - a lovely but really old man who could barely make it up the stairs, didn't know the answers to any of my questions and over estimated by 100 cubic feet! Either that or he was correct and the other estimators all wrong.....

Anyhow, any feedback would be great. We are looking to book this week for a feb move.

So far we have had Robinsons, Foxs, Excess International and AP in tomorrow.

Thank you
Melanie

Hiya...

Don't know European but did want to say that we had a terrible experience with Allied Pickford....Their quote was excellent but then the packers packed sooooo badly that we ended up going from a 20 ft container to a 40 foot and they upped the price by about £2000. By that point they had our furniture and pretty much told us that if we wanted it back we would have to pay the extra....They also delayed us, sent it to the wrong port etc!!!!! When the container arrived it was over half empty....They caused us more stress than moving to Canada did so frankly would just warn you to be very careful......

On a lighter not have heard good things about Fox and we have always wished we had went with Britannia who I have also heard good things about...

Good luck with everything

Lisa
