eTA Question
#1
Family, two UK/Canadian citizens and one Canadian citizen travelling to the UK for two weeks.
Do they need eTAs setting up ? All of them or just the Canadian ? Unclear whether it’s started yet ?
Departing tomorrow (yes I know, won’t get them in time anyway, even if the system is active)
Contradictions on the gov.uk website 🤦â€â™‚ï¸

I believe the start date of the UK Eta was put back until October 2023 so tomorrow should be fine

Yeah that tallies with what I’m reading on the Parliament website. You’d think they’d state it on the Gov page that deals with it FFS.
Thanks Jimmy, glad I’m staying put this time around.

Oddly small list of countries that will need an ETA: Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Canada is not on the list. Vague comment about "Other countries will be added to the list" but with no detail.
Too late for the OP but Canadian PP and UK PP can both use the automated kiosk lanes assuming you have a machine readable PP and are over 12.
