Considering what these guys are just doing with computing, then there will be real world spin offs from this project quite soon, I'm already aware that just the build up to today has lead to some major leaps forward is distributed computing and clusters.
This project has already driven huge gains in superconducting materials that will benefit many other area of industry and technology

Don’t forget that this is the home of hyper text transfer protocol (http) these guys invented this to make sharing their documents easier….. not sure that that lead to any shift in how we do thing but it is cool……..:confused:
