I suppose its possible we were all sucked through a worm hole and came out the otherside intact? Did anyone check to see if we have the same lot of stars in the sky? In any case, all my work got sucked through too if that's what happened. ****.

Can't they do ANYTHING right?

I was looking forward to oblivion and eternity...or even better, a stint downstairs where it's toasty warm....

Thought by now I'd have a fine pair of horns and be playing Kiss Chase with Michael Hutchence.:(

Apparently the UK team think they might beat them to it....

Not sure if this would still involve destruction of the earth, as I am blonde, a dullard and a housewife!

What I have realised over the last few days......

1. The General public has no clue what’s happening at CERN

2. The press is in fact much dumber than the general public on this

3. The general public is listening to the press

4. Science education the world over is a lot worse than many scientists realised

I don't know about the general public ... I thought it was just me! :o

I rushed off to tell my husband and boys only to find that they already knew all about it ..... how could I have missed this? Why didn't they tell me? Who cares anyway?! :p

What an excellent acronym: "Wimps" - weakly interacting massive particles

I'm getting quite excited about the whole deal now!

i used to work for someone who did his PhD at CERN. That was when I worked with physicists and discovered that they are really very nice interesting people, even though they are very very clever.

Some very unexpected things going on in the England footy. Maybe this is an unexpected side effect of world ending technology coming on line?

Considering the mess that the world is in with food, water, homelessness and poverty - I would rather my tax was paid on something which would help the needy ones in society first and not on a project that could very well end up a massive waste of money time and effort.
