emigration 2.0... wish me luck

you may recall ( brief recap... dh got BC PNP we all went out in december, got a house, got a car etc, he got his licences re-done over there (crane driver) and started work only to be told the guaranteed 40hrs per week didnt exits. the first week was ok but the second week was didly squat, and they didnt expect it to be better for months...
we had to make the choice after 7 weeks to come back to the uk and it was painful. we had no choice financially. the time back in uk was very very hard. we had to live in conditons i wouldnt wish on all but my worst enemy {that is reserved for the guy who lied to us and cost us our home and our dream of canada} i certainly didnt want my children to be living in a house, sleeping on the mattress on the floor with rats in the house. *shudder*
anyway, she got a job offer thru very quickly and went back out there on 4th may. got his visa changed again and started work for a company that really appreciates him. he is loving it out there and enjoying getting to know people and networking etc {sorry i said brief didnt i} anyway we have been saving like mad to get me and the kids + dog out there again. and it looks like about 2 weeks and i will be off
so hopefully, the flights wont go up, and we can see my hubby again... been 13 weeks and its killing me. ( really dont know how so many of you make it so long without your spouses)
so other than missing gravy, and decent cheese - i cant wait to be back "home"

My main gripe is the air pollution, crime, cold winters, and the fact it's not easy to get anywhere else.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it though so good luck and hope it works out and I guess you follow the work. Luckily we all enjoy different things

gotta do what we gotta do, and thats where the work is, its not vancouver but as many commented before neither is maple ridge, and i was on the outskirts of that before and quite happy being an hour away from central van ( which technically i still will be, just by plane not car!) we will make it work

My friend who lives there had a recent lockdown in his neighborhood while officials located and rounded up a bear with 2 tiny cubs after it chased down a couple of kids on bikes. Scary stuff. They were very lucky.
