My Ques is while my wife is on Parental EI benefits, how long can she be out of canada as in vacation? Because our PR is going to be approve soon and after that we need to get her daughter from another country to bring back in canada, Does anyone had any same or similar situation?

There is not limit, however you have to let them know and tell them how long. Is she on EI now?

She will apply for EI By the middle of feb 2014, Thanks at least we wouldn't be spending so much money on a airline ticket and staying there for only a week.

It is not automatic, she would have to qualify for EI, having paid into it and met the qualifying criteria.
