Don't know about Regina but our son will be 16 when we move to Ontario this summer and he will go into grade 11 in September (although he'd just finished grade 11 here, their grading is different) so he will do grade 11 and 12 in Canada and then graduate. We are not considering him going straight into college at 16 in Canada as we would like him to graduate and also have Canadian qualifications as well as UK GCSEs and more importantly make friends of his own age at school.

Without Grade 12 or equivalent I doubt he would be accepted into a college or get much of a job. A grade education is the minimum and without it severely limits opportunities.

I assume that the location is fixed? It's just that there are a few provinces that do allow the school age dependents of TWP holders to work, but unfortunately MB isn't one of them.

Do you plan to apply for PR once there? If so, and if you can apply as soon as you get there, then it will only be for a year or so he'd be unable to work.
