Hi again
Just found a short term rental in NW Edmonton, is this area ok for families? Looked on the crime mapping website and doesn't look bad except for 3 car thefts in the last 6 months.
Any thoughts? It's in Sherwood
Thanks
Wayne

I dont know Sherwood in particular, but I'm not particularly keen on the north side of Edmonton. It's fairly industrial, traffic is heavy, and always come across as being a bit grotty IMO. Personally, I'd suggest St Albert, which is a small city just outside Edmonton, or Sherwood Park, or some of the communities on the southside of Edmonton.

We live in West Edmonton, there are lots of nice areas around there.
Lewis Estates, Cameron Heights, Hamptons.
I have a few fiends that live in the South Side ie Terwilliger.
Live where is easiest to get to your work, I work at WE Mall and hubby is only a 20 min walk away so it suits us fine.

i live in Riverbend south west Edmonton about a mile from Terwillgar.
This area is nice lots of parks and amenities and decent schools.
I drive through Glenwood on my way to work, i dont really know the area apart from its not to far from West Ed mall.

Hi Guys, hope you dont mind if i hijack this thread.............we are moving back to calgary in the next month, we are going back to okotoks, due to kids, school, my job, etc.
The thing is that oh will be working in edmonton and we are on look out for a shared house or possibly b&b for 4 nights a week, if anyone has any ideas that would be much appreciated.
Thanks Anne

I have a friend moving back to the US next week who is looking to rent out her 3 bed in Terwillegar if anyone is interested. Lovely house, nice road. SW in general is nice, and I particularly like Riverbend, Terwillegar, Windermere/Ambleside and Rutherford.
