Doesnt your licence indicate the year it was issued?
For insurance purposes letters from DVLA are not sufficient as you can hold a licence without being insured.

Zoe, I'm not sure that's right. On the Ontario motoring page (link below) it says tat your driving licence can be used as evidence of one year's driving only. To declare two years' driving experience, you need an official letter saying when your licence was issued. Seems ruddy stupid to me as the licence has the issue date printed clearly on it!

All I know is I handed in a UK license and got a full g class Ontario one
As did my husband as did everyone else I know that has moved to Ontario
