if you need a copy of your uk driving licence to show its clean history etc this is the number you need

costs £5 and only takes a day or 2.

forgot to say you can pay by card over the phone too. makes it nice and easy.

wow! that is useful info..not for me..perse..
..but i wonder if there is something like that in Australia aswell. i didn't think about that. When i went to do my licence thing here..i had no way to show i had been driving for more than 5 years..other then the fact that i have my current licence from australia ~renewed 3 years ago..which is renewed every 5 years..and my age heheee thanks..i will explore aussie sites and see what i can find! cheers!

Thanks for the info. The 9am to 12 pm is obviously UK time?

I live in Calgary now with a 7 hour time difference so I have to be up between 2am and 5am to phone. Is there another way for example by email? Would they post the driver licence history to a Calgary address?

Any information is much appreciated, as I need to get car insurance and showing my driving experience in UK makes a huge difference to the quote.

as per the other posters link i think you can write in. to be honest i think that 9 to 12 is a guide, i did have to phone back later for my wife and they were there till 1600hrs that day.

they are both the same, just different ays of getting the same info. either online or by phone.
