Uh oh you have done it now ........just had a flash back from my Grans old outside loo. WHich had a hastily done wall paper job on it just to make you feel like you where in the lap of luxury....... Brrrrrrhhhhhh ....... by association every time I look at me ceiling it will remind me of it.

Duuoohhhh I think I need to move. :p

If I recall, artex is paint with sand in it, to give it a bit of texture and hide cracks. Stucco does the same thing but it's sprayed on rather than applied with a brush and has stalactites. Imagine icing a cake.

Thank fully it wasnt that bad. She did have proper loo roll. She also had an inside loo. Me and my brother as kids, thought it was a novel idea having a toilet outside especially when we were playing in the garden.

Its the first place I have ever owned, so I will get around to cleaning the ceilings.


I have never felt the desire to clean the ceilings of the places I have rented over the years. Painted one once, but thats only because i had a fire in the kitchen and I didnt want to get in trouble with the landlord.

I have lots to learn when it comes to owning a home.
