Does Canada do 'quaint'?
I'm thinking places like Bourton on the Water
or Dawlish
Or a Bath
Oops
I mean
or just a village green or something?
Maybe something similar at Niagara on the Lake? Anywhere else?
We have some nice town parks, nicely manicured, flower beds, fountains etc but not what I'd call quaint.

Quebec City.
University campuses (though they tend be a bit Disney, what Kevin McCloud might call a "ghastly pastiche").

Definition: having old fashioned attractiveness; oddly picturesque
My home town is kinda cute, in a one-hundred year old Western kinda way. Does that count? Pretty, cutesy, artsy Main Street. Stunning setting in the Foothills.
The centre of the town is morphing into Big Box Store Square however, and the new "communities" in every direction betray the small town feeling that it is desperately trying to hang onto, while collecting all the new property tax dollars.
Quaint? Not so much. The flower baskets are nice though 😉

A full blown Canadian Christmas period is "quaint", with glistening lights, fresh snow & happy faces that quickly disappear after its all over - back to misery norm.
Mid December till Boxing Day is 'quaint', then the huge snowfall along with the power outages & dig outs begin - which is not so 'quaint'

They're a different kind of quaint though

I can think of many things I would spend 1.2 mil on if I had it and this isn't it....lol
I disagree. It can get pretty quaint if you have $1.2M to spend and you're slightly retarded.
