I can think of a few bits of Toronto & Montreal I'd class as quaint.

Funky more than quaint? I love the murals- Vernon's ones are great but these look better. I think one would describe Nelson as funky as well not quaint- again they would describe them both as historic.

Looks like we all have our own definitions of quaint. "Picture Postcard" might be a better term for some of the examples. According to me, that is.

If you take away the flowers or maybe imagine it in winter, do these examples still look quaint?

Fergus, Elora, St. Jacobs, Port Hope, Coburg, Port Perry (all in Ontario) are are pretty towns. Not nearly as lovely as Burton on the Water, but still nice.
