does anyone have a window cleaner?
#1
I used to get my windows cleaned once a fortnight for about 15 pounds by a nice guy with a ladder, back in England.
My windows here need cleaning but they are up high and I am lazy. I havent seen a window cleaner. Do they exist for residential properties here?

Never seen one doing residential, only the occasional commercial property. We have a ladder and a squeegee on a broom handle...

I have one but she's not home from work yet, so the windows will have to wait.

Get me an LMO/TWP and I'll come over and do your windows for free

I appreciate I'm in a quite different location to you but there don't seem to be the volume of window cleaners here.
Every few months (usually in the better weather
) someone knocks at our door offering to clean the windows. The fees they ask are usually astronomical - anywhere between $150 and $450 - though we get the whole "well, we're in your area today so can offer a discount" spiel.
People near where I live have a lot windows and a lot of glass. The heights are scary and you'd most likely need help - so maybe $400 once a year is good for those people?
Our windows are so crappy now and the seals are broken, that cleaning them would not enhance my visual pleasure.
I guess the usual reply is to ask neighbours, trawl local papers, etc. Good luck.

I wonder if there is a gap in the market for a $25 a house business......

I imagine this would be seasonal, you could then become a snowplow driver in the winter or more exciting still, escape to Florida and prop up some bar in the Keys

From what I can tell window cleaning seems to fall under the "property maintenance" umbrella that covers snow clearance and grass cutting too...

Where we live in Ottawa the neighbors used to get an annual window clean and pay about $300 for it. There is definitely a gap in the market, I'd pay for someone else to clean my windows

Seeing as you have to wash the whole damn house as well once a year is enough

Have you checked to see if your windows swing inside out? Some of the newer windows in our old house did this, so we didn't have to go outside to clean the windows (or up scary ladders).
