Default Disposing of bear spray

Anyone know we're I can get rid of a Bear Spray in Vancouver? I've got a whole bunch of expired and maybe one or two in date canisters all still full.

One of the last things I need to do before I leave Canada, would have let them off in the backcountry where I was living but forgot and don't feel like there is anywhere safe enough around Vancouver.

Ask on the MEC forums? Clubtread? UBC Outdoors Club? Not sure, but my gut instinct says to give them to somebody who may be able to responsibly take them off your hands. Those were the first organizations to come to mind.

I gave my expired Bear Spray to MEC at their customer service desk.
