You mean Advocaat - came ready mixed with brandy - my mum always had it topped up with lemonade - That and the Babycham always came out at Christmas

I live with a cider drinker and so I know Strongbow and Magners are everywhere, as Bud Lite and Coors Lite are everywhere. However, as with beer, there are no end of other choices. In Vancouver, Sea Cider was highly thought of.

I used to buy Growers Cider in summer but it gave me a headache so I stopped. I have the occasional Big Rock cider and don't mind it.

They serve Strongbow in my local pub which only has 7 things on tap.

I never really got cider until 3 months ago. It kind of makes sense in the summer because you can load it with ice so you are a little more hydrated and it lasts longer if it is a long day of drinking also reducing your bill. Unlike beer the ice doesn't detach the flavour to much and reduces the sweetness which is a good thing.

Also cider obviously has no gluten so a bit of a fad drink now too.
