Did anyone settle in Toronto or nearby?

Re: Did anyone settle in Toronto or nearby?
Those who value the many restaurants and bars.
Those who dislike the garbage generated by the many restaurants and bars.
I like it. I like Allen's, I loved the Cafe Brussels, I like TKOs, I like that it's on the subway. I find Greektown a bit posey and not very good value but it's nice to walk around. I like that the streets one block north or south are very quiet. I think it's nice that there's an urban part of town that has some life to it where a new graduate can still buy a house (albeit a small one).

We land on 14th February, so getting very excited now. We've got a temporary let in the beaches for a month and would like to try and stay around that area. We are mid 30's married with no kids, so would be great to get in contact.

Previous threads on the Danforth have resolved into two camps:
Those who value the many restaurants and bars.
Those who dislike the garbage generated by the many restaurants and bars.

[QUOTE=Flyingscottie;8238577]Thank you dbd33 - you are indeed the font of knowledge for all things Toronto related! How long does the subway take into Yonge/Bloor?
The subway from Woodbine( beaches) would take roughly 15- 20 mins to Yonge/ Bloor
