The use of "many" is an exaggeration but i do know a few high end retail, service, and hospitality businesses who's top tiered clients, and bread and butter clients are Chinese and they very much appreciate the personal touch of doing business in their local language. Helps lighten their wallets

In all my time spent on the west coast i've not once witnessed business being done in French, however.
