Default Cycling on Tv

Or the lack of it!! I know cycling isn't very popular in Canada, from the lack of it on TV. But I call upon any cyclists out there that has found a descent cycling channel to stream or has been able to stream Eurosport without having to pay some dodgy web site. I don't mind paying for it if it's legit.

I thought the Tour de France and Phil Leggitt were found on the regular channels here. I have watched some of it, and I don't recall having to subscribe to anything "extra". What do you wish to be able to watch?

Pretty sure I watched the Tour de France last year too. I think most of the main stuff is aired to one degree or another.

The tour is the main event. I would like to watch it all really. All the cycling season including the one day events.

Wow! Presumably such a channel exists?

There is good coverage starting with Paris-Roubaix on April 12. Le Tour is on every day with live coverage as is The Giro and the Tour of Spain. Look for NBC Sports Network.

It is on TV here - either TSN or Sportsnet (cannot remember which as I don't care about cycling).

One of the TSN digital channels carried the NBCSN feed (and OLN and Versus through their various rebrands and acquisitions) the last few years. Paris-Roubaix, the Giro, the Tour and the Vuelta all have wall-to-wall extended coverage (the Tour typically has coverage of the stage start and then picks up live for the last two or three hours of each stage, and frequently does a sponsorship deal to provide advert-free coverage of the final 40 minutes or so of mountaintop finishes).

The studio presentation is understandably very heavily focused on US cyclists and teams, but live commentary is provided by the sainted Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen, with Bob Roll doing studio analysis. They make a good trio, despite the best efforts of inept anchorman Liam McHugh.

Sportsnet 1 tends to show the most. I seem to recall that Sportsnet 1 and Sportsnet main feeds covered the TdeF last year.

Earlier this week the Paris-Nice race was on Sportsnet 1 on a 1 hour highlights show.

In all honesty, other than the TdeF the interest level is low... Next in popularity would probably be the Giro then the Vuelta which were on Sportsnet 1 last year.

beinsports have been advertising it too, although they were claiming the tour of qatar is one of the major races and errrr it really isnt.. I have seen cycling on sportsnet a few times in the last couple of months, cycling seems to be all over the channels, on telus you can search for programs, I would guess your cable providor(telus or otherwise) has the same feature.. for example i just keyed in cycling using the remote and found milan san remo is on sportsnet 1 tomorrow, although it seems they are just showing it live for 2 hours so it starts at 3am pacific time :S...

gent wevelgem is on beinsports, I don't think it's live and then the womans road world cup in the netherlands is also broadcast on sportsnet..
