We have a dutch bakery in Victoria (yes, we do).....man the most delicious baked goods....good thing it's downtown and the parking is bad....so we don't have much access.

BTW for me, I like all things dutch and have spent many happy years of holidays being supported by other drunken hockey players in many cities. It was my 'european' choice should Canada have failed.
It was funny that many people tell me I can speak dutch fairly well...shame I can never remember

Spent a few enjoyable weeks over the years playing non ice hockey in Holland, lots of Jegermeister
and those tiny beers!Lack of field hockey near me in Canada is a major contributing factor to my increasing winter comfort level as discussed in another thread.

Toontje...now Im curious too, what was the point of this thread? a names a name thats all. Dont make me make my wife translate, shes a second gen dutch canadain. Doesnt really speak the language though, but can read a bit.

Yes....what is the point of this thread, do I like your name? Haven't given it a thought really. Field hockey sure rocks more than ice hockey, there is a place in elora that has a league and a cricket league, was there a few weeks back, and talking to the organisers.

I played field hockey in school, and I went to a missionary school too. I still have my old hockey stick actually, and yes I know what its like to be hit with the stick, and also paid back the compliments
