Crane operator licensing
Hi guys
I'm currently trying to get over to canada as a tower crane operator but getting a bit confused about the various licences. I want to make the move to Ontario due to the amount of work for tower cranes around the greater Toronto area and having been in touch with a few operators in toronto there seems to be plenty of work. However as I need to go down the LMO route and need a job offer first I'm trying to figure out can I accept a job offer and go over and start working for a few weeks or months until I get my licence switched over to a canadian one or should I go over to Ontario for a few days and sit the 339b test first?
Also can I go straight for a red seal exam with out having to sit the 339b exam?

Re: Crane operator licensing
You might want to also consider going to one of the Provinces where Tower Crane Operator isn't regulated.
You can see which ones here - and also wages, outlook, training requirements etc.

I would suggest looking at the red seal website and seeing what hours you would need to challenge http://www.red-seal.ca/s.2.1rchr.2s....crane+operator
Just found this - might be useful - Ontario licencing: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/...ISTENG_CM.html
