Cost of living in Toronto
Hi,
Based on experience from my previous short visits to Toronto, I found that grocery shopping was more expensive than in the UK. I shopped for food/groceries at a number of Fortinos and WalMart and found the prices to be the same or more expensive for similar items in Tesco/Asda/other UK supermarkets.
Originally I thought that the cost of living in Toronto was supposed to be cheaper than London however this is not what I found. Am I correct or am I shopping at the wrong supermarkets?
Other things like car insurance also seem to be more expensive than the UK?
Your thoughts/comments please?

Depends entirely on what you are purchasing. Dairy, cheese and chicken are much more expensive in Toronto than the UK. Red meat and many other things are much cheaper. I'd say on balance the grocery bill is roughly the same.
