I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Gas and 2,350 psi. Only $279 from Home Depot. It's not the biggest beast in the world, but our deck has cleaned up beautifully.

Electric = convenient, cheap, low power.

Gas = more maintenance, more powerful, more expensive.

What are you planning on powerwashing? And how often? Small jobs once or twice a year? Rent one when necessary instead.

Mine's rubbish, does nothing except swirl dirt around. Kärcher, 1750 psi, electric, can't remember the price but it wasn't much.

I purchased a gas 3500psi Karcher a couple of years ago, and it's been great. Copes with a muddy tractor, ATV, our truck etc etc perfectly well.

And don't think buying the "stop jet swirling around" brush attachment will make it any better, because it won't

I rented a gas one from the Home Depot to do the deck "be careful" they said "it'll dig holes". It hardly made a dent.

My weedy one did gore the drywall in the garage, and take some paint off the door but I can do that with a fingernail so it's not much of an achievement.

Ended up getting Kärcher 2000 PSi 2GPM gas one from WalMart $195.
Will have to wait to try it out so I don't create an ice rink on the drive.
