But I think it is probably best that I sign off permanently because I don't seem to be making any headway with this forum and see why it is there for some people but unfortunately I think it is lost on me.
Bye, But if you do come back - What do you expect from this forum? Have you asked for advice or information or will you be apologising again? By the way the reason your 7 year old is still in your bed at night is coz you let him. Not because it's the best thing for him. Try watching some parent shows and reading some books, You'll notice how keeping them comforted and secure in their bedroom at night is way better than letting them jump in with you when every daddy is away. |

As an oldie on this site, I suggest that you might actually find something that will be of use to you, or you might (eventually) be able to offer help or support to somebody else going through the process.
Being charitable, I think you realise that you got off on the wrong foot with many folks here, and so I suggest that you maybe just observe the site for a bit, (lurk, as it were) and try the search facility for any questions you might have, which have probably been asked and answered before. Then, if you do ever feel moved to post again on here, if you just be a little more circumspect, don't come in with all guns blazing (and maybe use a different user name :p ), you might find the site more useful. Good luck, smooth sailing, and happy landings ..... cos that's when the fun REALLY starts! :D |

the dates i mentioned were for my fastracking, my job offer, my money paid and accepted, do you really think you are the only person to be given these types of timescales and empty promises. clearly you are, as you refer my quote directly to your circumstances, its a wonder you can drag yourself away from the mirror. this may be cynical and disparaging but i feel that you have asked for it. you clearly have not read anything posted previously on here, otherwise you would know all about the poor unfortunate souls who have been in your position. you're not there, until you are there, simple as. |

Snubbing someone because he has only been in the navy 7 years. It is this sort of thinking which totally bothers me. I am a signal design engineer for the railways and i have 4 years experience. With this experience i have managed to climb to a supervisors level something which had never happened to someone so young (22) in my company before. I get people with 40 years more experience come to me for support because I have the knowledge and have sacrificed very little to get here. I will tell you the secret of my success hold your tongue unless you clearly understand what you are talking about. Always be accommodating and deal with people in the right manner. It is fair to say from your posts that you treat people as dirt on your shoe who are very much below you. This is a dinosaur theory which was used back when women didn't even have the vote. This is a new age and mainly due to technology more young people are valuable assets to companies as they have a better base grounding for using such things as a computer. Experience is everything but time is not an indication of experience. |

BTW when we first came albeit in the early 80s my partner was offered a job in the last week of July and we and our family had our PR status by the end of October- less than 3 months despite there being an official moratorium on his profession and it wasn't luck, it was the experience and expertise that he had that Canadians did not have and the government were very willing to acknowledge that. |
