It's been harder to find the interest more recently.
At the moment (IMO) the threads can be reduced to the following 'classes'
1) Boring repetitive crap in which to or three posters exchange views\ideas that could just as easily be done via PMs and not bore the rest of us.
2) Vague questions that have been asked frick knows how many times (these I can almost forgive because the majority come from newbies)
3) Excellent initial posts that open up the possibility of a great exchange of ideas but then end up stuck on one topic\idea.
4) The infamous oneliner\toilet humour\60s sitcom threads
5) 'The Bar is Now Open'

I did forget one as well.
6) Threads that turn to into streams of arse kissing\we're not worthy posts.

Maybe a victory for the trolls in some way, but who cares.

A bit of editing to the wiki definition gives "a troll is someone who comes into an established community such as an online discussion forum, and posts <edit> messages designed intentionally <edit> to disrupt the flow of discussion", which i think fits the bill quite nicely.
It seems a lot of recent and some longer standing members are more interested in the glorious sound of their own voice rather than the business of asking or answering questions arising out of living in Canada.
In my book someone who just generates noise on a forum without actually contributing anything to the subject matter is a troll, and there are more than a few here who do nothing but add to the noise level.
If you want to mostly chat then use the PM system, or go off to the lounge, or lobby to have a sub forum added to the canada area.
Anyway thats my last word on this, its not worth the grief. Ta Ta.

You may have thought I had been rogered unconcious by some leather clad moustached erm "butch" guy due to my weekend volunteer activites, but no I'm fine
Actually yes you are right. I thought the board was ok as it was. You could have a laugh if you wanted, and any serious questions I posted (there are some if you check) got sensible answers, I didn't really see a problem. You read what you want to read and skip what you don't.
However taking in to account recent opinions it's just made me feel like I can't be bothered posting anything at all. I have read the bored and have to say there is a definate change. It's a shame cos I have been sat here in stiches some afternoons with the posts. I appreciate some people would not find it funny, but I would expect they just wouldn't read it. The content of the board will change as posters come and go. Surely being able to accept and adapt to change for better or worse is part of moving to a new country.
Someone (may have been your good self) mentioned about people who complain about TV shows........WHY?? Just dont flippin watch, or take responsibility and control what your children watch. It's not like a pair of tits (sorry) just flashes up on the screen randomly throughout the day. Anyone with any common sense knows what they are likely to get when watching a particular show, channel or thread on a board.
For gods sake there were guys wandering around over the weekend wearing nothing but shoes socks and a cock ring. I looked at them and thought what the hell have you got your socks pulled up for idiot....you would wear shoes and some kind of ankle sock or no sock at all. My point being life is too short to let unimportant things bother you, and taking in to account British humour and Canadas fairly liberal attitude.....if you are easily offended is a British expats Canadian forum the best place for you.
Long live the beaver I say.

Just looked at the main board and realised I got this totally wrong - it is a seperate area set up by the mods, for the aussies
(We could claim 'favouritism' here
)<offers feeble apology, hangs head in shame, and goes to stand in the corner with dunce hat on>
