We have had a couple of quotes, 2,750+vat for a 20ft from Southampton to Vancouver, we pack and load container at docks, customs clearance.
Another one was 3,990, we pack, we load container at our home address in Cornwall, door to door, custom clearance.
We had a company to do everything for us last time and it was a NIGHTMARE!!!! it took 4mths to get there, they left ladders at docks, we had breakages, lost tools. We tried claiming on our insurance, no good, and to this day we still haven't our ladders.
We did it ourselves when we came back, so long as you do a detailed inventory and label each box of contents, it took 10 days, no problems at all. which is why we are doing ourselves again.

We are going with Anglo Pacific as IMO they seem very professional and deal with everything, we only have to see it through customs.

Our quote was for 20ft container from Kent to Kelowna, BC at £5,680 not including insurance. We also have to put it all in storage in Vancouver until we purchase a house, not sure what the will cost will be until I dig deeper but either way we have to do this for the first month.
