The one among my son's contemporaries who is making most money (at age 30) did a 2 year college diploma with an apprenticeship in cutting bits off trees and cutting down trees.

I don't think the job is on the List though.

Canadian degrees are fully recognized world wide (although there are no doubt professional bodies' hoops to jump through, as here). Canadian college diplomas? It depends.
