At least the conservatives are trying to match skilled immigrants with skill shortages and improve immigration overall. They run a version of this commercial in BC as well. It really is gutter politics. However carefully they choose the words is it still designed to appeal to the base fears of a certain demographic.

It is factually incorrect as well. It portrays the opposition leaders as helping these people "jump the queue." There never has been and, I sincerely hope, never will be a queue for refugees at Canada's borders.
