Community Identified Stream
#33
Hey I am not trying to sink anyones boat, just being realistic, From the Nova Scotia immigration website......
The Community Identified stream of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) is aimed at selecting individuals who have long established connections to a Nova Scotia community, wish to live there permanently, and are employable and can contribute to the labour market and economy of that specific community.
One visit is hardly long established in my eyes, perhaps it is just as well that I am not an immigration officer!

This is where I noticed all the postings by accountantstaffing and they have been more than helpful. You may find a similiar agency for your line of work.
Good luck

I would agree - the communities in NS (other than HRM) are crying out for people to move in and help bring them back to life. If NSNP stuck firmly to a requirement that the Applicant had long term links to these communities, no one would be applying and NS would be in a worse position than it already is.

yes I totaly agree with you,but then I am a little bit biased.

I can vouch that Arty has made a good network of people here though contacts before and after the recce that have been maintained. The goal posts have changed a bit with regards to the connections required with potential employers since he first started considering this route and hence what would have been sufficient at the time of the recce is no longer the case and why he is now having to try and gain some further contacts and expand upon the network he already has in place
Arty- I have posted a link on the ns forum as im sure there will also be people on there who may be able to help with some contacts.

please can you tell me where to find the ns forum. Is it here on BE? If it is, I can't seem to find it and I will feel reeeally stupid now.
Thank you.

Hi June,
The good news is that I have found a Multi National Company who have verified my skills and indicated that when I land they would be more than interested in talking to me about a placemenand have just passed this onto Margott.I just hope i only need one It took me around 30 calls just to get this far,but worth it all the same.
