Default Citizenship Issues

Hye Folks,

I need some information as I am pretty muddled by all the strains of shifting and the tensions of looking for apartments, schools, jobs etc. Thankfully spouse has got a job though it isn't enough to support the whole family, which means I have to go elsewhere to look for other employment oppurtunities.

The crucial question is, that if my spouse and son were to stay in Canada for 3 years would they get their citizenship or is it dependent on me, considering that I was the principal applicant while immigrating?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, they would be elligable, but remember they have to be available after the three years to attend the test and swearing in, which is roughly another year.

Good luck with the job hunt. Hopefully you will find something in canada.

Iain
